Gaeta's main beach, at the foot of Monte Orlando: about a mile of pale sand with shallow water, plenty of beach clubs and free stretches. Minutes from the centre, it's perfect for families. Look for the boat-shaped rock, the "Nave di Serapo".

Fontania beach
Next to Serapo, reachable on foot or by swimming. Rocky seabed, calm water and two large caves: great for snorkelling and diving. Remains of ancient Roman structures are still visible.
Ariana beach
On the Via Flacca, about 350 metres of sand sheltered by hills. Gently sloping water and plenty of services: another great family choice. The Tre Cani rocks lie offshore.
Sant'Agostino beach
A wide, breezy beach on the Via Flacca towards Sperlonga, loved by surfers and kitesurfers. Free stretches and beach clubs, with parking along the road.
Arenauta beach (300 Steps)
Hidden between Monte a Mare and the Scissure tower, it can't be seen from the road: you reach it down a long staircase, hence the name. Golden sand, clear water and a wild feel, with free and equipped areas. Bring water and good shoes for the climb back.
San Vito beach
Small coves below the San Vito tower, with crystal-clear water and sea caves: a spot for swimmers and snorkellers away from the crowds.
40 Remi beach
A tiny cove of pale sand among Mediterranean scrub, with no services. From here you can reach the Pozzo del Diavolo. Bring everything you need.
Practical tips
- In July and August, parking on the Via Flacca fills early: arrive in the morning.
- Book umbrellas and loungers on summer weekends.
- For the coves: water shoes, water and shade.
- Sperlonga is 20 minutes away: read our guide to Sperlonga beaches.
